Miguel Pedro Kaled Jr. grew up in Rio de Janeiro where he attended the Brazilian Military Academy (similar to West Point USA), graduating as a Second Lieutenant. After completing the Civil Engineer course, Miguel Pedro Kaled Jr. left army as an Infantry Paratrooper Captain and together with his wife, Claudia Serra Kaled, an architect, started a construction company in Rio de Janeiro.
The couple moved to Orlando in 1997, with Julia (now a Law student) and Ivan (now an Economics student), daughter and son.
Today Miguel Kaled, a resident of College Park, is a Director at the Central Florida Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, a small developer, a business developer for South America and still a Commercial / Residential Realtor.
